We are doing much better...

We figured out that Addy had RSV and a double ear infection. Ouch. I get the mother of the year award for naming her Adzilla and not realizing that she was so grumpy because she didn't feel good.

Nice job, Liz.

Sigh.

We put her on breathing treatments, antibiotics, and ear drops and she is much much better now. Poor baby. To make things worse, yesterday, I spied where her eye teeth are coming in. One has already broken through the skin on the bottom. It must have happened, unbeknownst to me, during the week she was so sick. So not fair. She's such a cute, sweet, little sassypants- I hate that she gets hit with all that at once. But- she's back to my smiling happy little girl who has suddenly learned to speak in sentences.

Chasing Sadie around the yard the other day, trying to hand her a ball to play with, caused Sadie to sprint off in quick, uneven circles. She's like a greyhound- so fast. This is Sadie's favorite game- running off and being chased. She's extremely fast and loves to show just how quick she can be. Addy hasn't learned this yet so everytime Sadie took off- Addy replied "Oh no! Wha happened?" in her twinkling sweet Addy voice and continued to half run half toddle to where Sadie stood waiting impatiently for the next run.

I've never heard a sweeter sound than that. Despite how stressful my day may be, that little voice is enough to erase any sort of heavy thought and worry.

Wow I'm REALLY a bad blogger!

My new year's resolution was to be a better blogger...but sadly half of January is over and I still haven't posted anything. Oh well. Better late than never.

Life tends to slip by and time moves way to quickly. If I were a superhero, my power would be to stop time so I could cherish more of it.

Addy, hereunto to be referred to as Adzilla, is a fiesty little thing. She's learned and quickly mastered the power of manipulation through tears and pouty looks. She's a quick study and she's good. I'm amazed at her capabilities at such a young age! I blame Jim...as I always do when Addy shows a rather unfavorable characteristic. Hee. It's what works for us.

I figure I should have a photo montage of the last 3 months instead of trying to cram 3 months of living into a readable post...so I'll get to working on that...which means that it might not get done. I will try though. I promise.

Addy has been sick the last couple of days so her patience is non existent and although I have great sympathy for her and wish my baby to get well, her temper undoubtedly makes for sporadic bursts of pure comedy. Which is why I am now referring to her as Adzilla. Case in point, yesterday, I was attempting to work from home while she was sick (attempting means failing miserably as Addy thought it necessary to turn my computer off every 10 minutes...a seven year old computer that takes 10 minutes just to warm up...so you can see how that was difficult) Anyway, she wanted to push her Barney doll around in her new stroller- it's the only way for her babies to travel. After a couple of minutes of her singing to her kids, I hear her fussing and baby cussing. I venture into the living room just as Barney is snatched out of the safety of his seat and flung across the room. My first thought was "What did Barney ever do to you except LOVE you and Me and be a HAPPY family?" It was then I realized that my sweet angel was pissed because our rocking chair was in the path of her stroller and instead of navigating her baby carrier ONE inch to the left...she thought necessary to hurl Barney and fling herself on the floor in Addy hysterics. Sigh. Welcome to the wonderful world of toddler dramatics.
