...and we have a scoocher!

Addy decided that Monday to start scooching! I cannot believe I have a mobile baby. We haven't babyproofed yet!



She decided that she wanted to scooch over to our cat, Chelsea to make "friends"...
Chelsea wasn't having it...

Chelsea decided that she had enough... I guess I better start babyproofing....

Stand up and say HI!!

I discovered one of Addy's new talents this weekend...she can stand if she's holding on to something! She cannot pull herself up yet, but she is getting really close. She giggles when she is standing. I think she likes reaching new milestones.

We first discovered this talent when I met some moms at the mall for a playdate. She had fun holding onto the little turtle and talking to her new friend Gavin...

Later at home- we put her in her crib to see if she could stand and hold on....

She seems very proud of herself. :)

She also tried to crawl and actually made some progress by scooching a bit. I really think she will be crawling by the end of the week. Yay Addy!

Jump jumpy Addy

Here she is in her favorite toy: the jumperoo. Or as I like to call it; the jump-poo-roo; as every time she's in it she inevitably makes a nice diaper for me to change. :)

I just have to say....she is sooo stinkin cute and a genius. Obviously. :)

AND we have an 8 month old...

Where oh where has the time gone?? She is 8 months old now! Unbelievable. At her pediatrician appointment today she weighed in at a whopping 18.9 pounds! She was 6 pounds at birth. She used to be so tiny! Pretty soon she will be walking and talking back. Ahhh can't wait...

And then Sadie had to make another appearance. That dog cannot stand to be left out.

Eating socks and other fun stuff...

So I was working over the weekend and plopped Addy on her play sheet area with all her wonderful obnoxious singing toys hoping that these would occupy her so I could diligently accomplish my task list. I love listening to her babble and coo at her toys- it's soo cute! After a couple of minutes of me focusing on the laptop and Addy's babbles of bababananadada in the background- I look up and she is not on her playsheet- she has rolled all the way across the living room and was intently chewing and talking to her socks. Kids.

Socks: Much cheaper than obnoxious educational toys. If I would have thought of this sooner I could have saved some money at Christmas.

Later that evening, she had fun playing with the mirror. The dog, being the attention hound she is, had to make an appearance, too.

I realized that there are very few pictures of Addy and I so I took it upon myself to take some. And here is the end result. :)















I can't believe how big she has gotten! She used to be sooo tiny. I still think she looks just like her Daddy.
